The phone outlet must also match the wire with 2 gold contacts. See pics. A friend lent me the cord -see pictured in last photos, and it worked great including the ringer volume. Have your cord available and verify outlet before considering purchasing for daily use. It 100 percent works great if you hook it up correctly.
